SCHÜTZ LASER DRUM – Comprehensive corrosion protection through a revolutionary production process.

SCHÜTZ unites high-quality material with the latest joining technology to set a new standard in steel drums: our laser drum.

  • To achieve all this, we use sheet steel directly from the coil that is hot-dip galvanised on both sides
  • By galvanising the sheet steel in the melting bath before the coil is wound, the base material has a high-quality, comprehensive and uniformly distributed layer of zinc
  • The drum shell is shaped using a special laser welding process in which the sheets are butt-welded together
  • The result is a high-quality, smooth and clean weld seam approx. 2 – 3 mm wide
  • After inline lid and base assembly, the steel drum is fully protected against corrosion and ready for dispatch
  • Product can be customer-branded with screen printing
  • OPTION: SCHÜTZ composite laser drum CLF – An integrated inner bottle made of high-grade plastic guarantees maximum product purity and double leakage protection

Increased cleanliness of the packaging and thus reduction of contamination risks compared with drums without protection against corrosion

The basic material is already protected against corrosion:

  • Minimized quality risks in the production process
  • Increased delivery flexibility and supply security compared with conventional galvanized drums

Highly efficient production process with a downstream coating line and kiln:

  • No need for internal or inter-company transport and storage processes
  • Eliminates the risk of damage or contamination
  • No danger of drips, inclusions, pitting or remaining residues
